Pre-Treatment
2 Weeks Before
Had injectables, a chemical peel, or another advanced facial treatment? Check with your provider about when it's safe to book. After injectable treatments, wait at least 2 weeks before your SmartGLO.
5–7 Days Before
Pause retinol and prescription retinoids as directed by your provider. Tell them if you're using any acne or exfoliating treatments.
72 Hours Before
Skip facial scrubs and exfoliating acids, including salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acid.
Post-Treatment
First 72 Hours
Treat your skin gently. Use a mild cleanser and moisturizer, and pause exfoliating acids and harsh scrubs.
Days 5–7
Slowly restart retinol only when your skin feels calm and your provider says it's okay. Avoid waxing or chemical peels until your skin has recovered.
Every Day
Keep your skin hydrated and protect it with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Reapply when outdoors.
